This disc is not Barbirolli - he never conducted the Bolero! The rest of the disc is also suspect.
ReplyDeleteslarty does Glorious John an injustice. According to the discography in his biography (Michael Kennedy's book "Barbirolli - Conductor Lauriate") he did. Las Valse & the Daphnis & Chlow pieces were recorded on Sept 5th 1959.
